Lister’s New Knobbly Concept Is So Hot It Should Be NSFW

Lister, the company that has recently brought us a tuned, 200mph Jaguar F-Type and a 670bhp F-Pace SUV, has released a side profile shot of a jaw-dropping new concept it’s working on.

The Knobbly roadster is an open-topped, tiny-windscreened beauty that combines echoes of the original Lister Knobbly – or even the road-legal remake – with so much sharply-pencilled muscle we think we’ve cut ourselves on the Tweet.

Sat so low that stray worms will feel the squeeze, the silver missile’s focal points are the graceful but threatening wheel arches, bringing to mind a cat hunkered right down and ready to pounce. It looks to be front-mid-engined and rear-wheel drive, as is proper for such a car.

There’s some disagreement in the office as to whether those are side-exit exhausts or just graphics. Make up your own mind for now. We’re also curious as to whether the Knobbly we see here uses an F-Type chassis as its bare bones, or whether it’s bespoke. The proportions seem to suggest the latter, which would be impressive – if it gets built. Let’s hope it does.
