When it comes to consistently innovative car invention and creation, Honda is more often than not very much at the forefront.

When it comes to consistently innovative car invention and creation, Honda is more often than not very much at the forefront. This reputation for looking ahead and moving onto the next level is sure to be enhanced by the launch of its latest set of three and five door saloons, civics and hybrid cars; all of which look set to get Britain’s roads purring.

First up is the new Honda Accord Saloon. Available with three different types of engine, a 154bhp 2.0-litre petrol, 198bhp 2.4-litre petrol or a 2.2-litre diesel with either 148 or 177bhp, there's a saloon for all drivers. All models, as well as being both smooth and strong, are built with motorway comfort in mind. The suspension quality ensures even the most arduous of commutes or family trips will be taken in comfort. As you'd expect from Honda, the engines and gearshifts both operate with a seamless, perfect smoothness.

Few other eco cars can claim to be as trouble-free to own as a Honda, and the Accord Saloon is no exception. As the miles increase, the performance of the vehicle stays at the same high level as when it was brand new.

On the smaller side of Honda's family range is the equally impressive Civic Hatchback. The great aesthetics of the vehicle are matched by the excellent build quality and superb handling, while the boot is up there with the largest of its class. With a fun, funky and futuristic-looking interior and swathes of legroom in both the front and back, the Civic is built to last and represents excellent value for money.

In among the new car offers from Honda is a must-have for lovers of 4x4 motors. Quite simply, the CR-V is one of the best 4x4s out there. Comfortable both on and off road, it is safe, practical and, as is standard with a Honda, extremely good value for money. Ticking all the boxes, the CR-V handles neatly, while the steering is both light and accurate.

The wide range of seat and steering wheel adjustments also means you can fiddle until you are entirely comfortable with the set up. The boot size leaves most of its rivals behind and can be further increased with folding seats and a movable panel that creates a useful two-tier boot floor.

Honda has become synonymous with the advent of the hybrid motor and, in this regard, the new Jazz Hatchback stands out among the new range. With an automatic gearbox fitted as standard, the hybrid offers good performance given the type of driving it is likely to undertake. The overall balance is of a high standard, while light steering makes parking in even the most confined of spaces a breeze. With a fuel economy of 62.8 mpg, it’s a real money saver.

In terms of safety, the Jazz Hatchback simply cannot be beaten. Six airbags, anti-whiplash head restraints and Honda's renowned Vehicle Stability Assist system all combine to ensure your drive is safe, fun and environmentally-friendly. Surprisingly spacious, the boot features an ingenious shelf that can be stashed in four different ways to hold any load.

As you'd expect, the latest Honda offerings keep them one step ahead of the competition.
