This Looks And Sounds A Lot Like A Track-Only 911 GT2 RS
Porsche, we’re not 100 per cent sure what you’re up to here, but we dig it. The car you see in the video above - undergoing testing at Monza circuit in Italy - certainly looks and sounds like a 911 GT2 RS, but there are some notable points of departure.
First of all, that wing: it’s gigantic, and looks like it belongs on a GT3 racing car. There are gurney flaps that have sprouted from the front bumper, a new rear bumper with an exhaust routed through the middle, huge ducts that go through the frunk and a full roll cage.
We’re not convinced Porsche is about to go the turbocharged route with its racing cars, so this might well be an ultra-hardcore GT2 RS, intended for the track and the track alone.
It’s not actually the first time this even more extreme GT2 RS has been spotted. The same YouTuber responsible for the video at the top of the page spied a very similar test mule about six months ago (see above), albeit with a slightly different rear wing, the original GT2 RS rear bumper and different ducting at the front.
We can’t wait to find out what it actually is, but feel free to add your speculation in the comments below!

Just imagine this GT2 RS(R?) with no wing and a manual gearbox, they would sell i guess

And there you go with your $600k supercar that will resell for $1.2M a year later after having covered 15 km
My god. Porsche is awesome
The demented side of me wants whatever this is to be road legal. Imagine that freaking wing on that car on the street.
Perhaps Porsche are doing a Ferrari in that this is their equivalent of the XX program?
Porsche 911 GT2 RS-XX maybe?
