Ludicrous Mode Isn't Enough For This Tesla Model S To Overcome The Might Of A 700bhp Ford GT

This was a very nice video, it was an interesting race with a less interesting result.
Here’s my thought process:

1. Strolling through CarThrottle for something interesting to read.
2. Ohh! A Tesla P90D vs a Ford GT. This shoud be interesting.
3. The title looks very unappealing, then I look over at the community that it was posted in…Oh boy, this was posted in muscle…I know exactly how this will end…
4. So I watch the video and this is what I think…
5. I am going to assume with upmost confidence that the Tesla is over a 1000 pounds heavier than the Ford GT.
6. Both cars make around the same power but the Ford GT has such a difference when it comes to weight that it overcomes the advantage of instant torque and AWD.
7. I am awaiting the American Muscle comments.
8. Conclusion…I just want my darn Tesla P90D to win a freaking drag race against a supercar without there being some sort of catch with its opponent.

Tesla driver when the GT catches up…

i do appreciate the tesla’s performance, but it just can’t beat the character of any petrol engined sports car. i mean, it’s not much character, when you are driving top speed, but sounding like vacuum cleaner.

Still the quarter mile is dominated by the tesla. It took almost 20 seconds to the Ford to keep up with the Tesla
