This Man Wants To Sell You A Vauxhall Astra That His Friends Are Standing On
This might just be the worst, most bizarre and most infuriating classified car advert we’ve ever seen. This man wants to sell you his 1.6-litre petrol Vauxhall Astra, and his sales pitch is to have his friends leave shoe prints all over the roof and bonnet.
We could barely believe it when we found these pictures of the Y-reg Astra on Facebook Marketplace, alongside some text in Romanian and an asking price of £1995. We think that’s… optimistic.
The advert text, translated horribly by good old Google, reads:
“Astra 1.6 gasoline. You like it?? I know you will love it! MOT has is normal to have… goes well stops at traffic lights and sensors that has always tacks.
“Has Christmas tree in the board. I was with her 4 times in your country for more information contact 07879 660 929 Call or what time”
Any takers?

Does the car come with the mates?
Are the friends included?
I’ll give him £20 and a mars bar
Bit generous, don’t you think? Maybe half a Mars bar, tops.
“Stops at traffic lights”
that translation tho. This would be a more precise translation:
“Astra 1.6 gasoline. You like it?? I know you like it! Of course it has MOT. Runs well, stops at traffic lights and it has (parking) sensors that are always ticking.
Has a christmas three on the dashboard (referring to bad codes lights). I was with her 4 times in Romania (Am fost cu ia de 4 ori in tara roughly means that he did 4 trips with the car from UK to Romania) for more information contact 07879 660 929 Call at any hour.”
As soon as I saw the photo I knew they we’re romanian
Stops at traffic lights?? Well damn, this guy knows how to sell a car
The sensor bit is actually saying that it has sensors that are always beeping. And the thing where he says he was in your country 4 times is actually saying he went in romania with it four times. I know all this bcoz im a romanian and i thought it may make some more sense
Put a Buick badge on it and its a deal
Do they not know in Romania that is how you show how solid a car is, by stamping on it?
