Lenny B. Robinson, the guy who dressed as Batman while visiting local children’s hospitals in his black Lamborghini Gallardo, was killed last night in a car crash on Interstate-70 in Maryland.

Robinson was on his way back from a car show in West Virginia, and had just stopped at a service station. According to the Washington Post, he chatted to a family about his car, before leaving just ahead of them. A little further down the road, Robinson was forced to stop "partially in the fast lane" after suffering engine problems. While inspecting his engine, his car was struck by a Toyota Camry, pushing the car into Robinson. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lamborghini-driving Batman rose to fame a few years ago after he was pulled over by police in his Lamborghini, as they wanted to question him about his license plate. The dashcam footage (above) went viral, before Robinson’s charitable motivations were revealed.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. Rest in peace, Batman.
