Massa Boots Maldonado Out Of Williams F1 For 2014 Hot Seat
The Williams F1 Team has announced that Felipe Massa will join the team in 2014, replacing current driver Pastor Maldonado.
The 11-time race-winner will leave Ferrari at the end of 2013 after an eight-year stint and will be replaced by Kimi Raikkonen. Valtteri Bottas has been retained by the team for next year.
"Williams is one of the most successful and important teams of all time in Formula One," Massa said on the announcement. "When I was a kid, I always dreamed about racing for Williams, Ferrari or McLaren and I'm glad to be signing with another icon of the sport following my time at Ferrari."
Founder and team principal Sir Frank Williams said: "We are delighted to be able to confirm our 2014 driver line-up and welcome Felipe into the Williams family. Valtteri is a valued member of the team and there is much more to come from him."
Williams will move from Renault to Mercedes power in 2014 as the sport moves to 1.6 litre V6 Turbo engines.
