McLaren's Chief Test Driver Has Jumped Ship... To Aston Martin
Aston Martin has gone head-hunting again, and this time McLaren’s hugely experienced chief test driver has swapped seats.
Chris Goodwin, the primary wheel-whirler you would have found at the helm of recent supercar giants like the P1 and 720S, has jumped ship to Aston as its Expert High Performance Test Driver. You can’t say he’s not qualified.
You might remember former racing driver Chris from such valuable CT content as [Why Drifting Is Important](https://www.carthrottle.com/post/let-mclarens-chief-test-driver-explain-why-drifting-is-important-and-fun/) and Here I Am In A Senna [Dressed As A 720S](https://www.carthrottle.com/post/this-three-seater-mclaren-720s-is-a-hypercar-development-mule/). He’ll work with Simone Rizzuto, who has come from the FCA Group working directly for Maserati and Alfa Romeo and takes up the title of Chief Engineer, Vehicle Dynamics.
Clearly, Aston Martin is working on huge things in its plans for the next decade. With Goodwin on board, we can expect future Astons to handle pretty well.

Ahhhhhhhh, I was thinking of making the exact same meme. Gg wp
I think you may want to get those URLs sorted out
A CT editor should know that’s you can’t have hyperlinks in italics :)
This wasn’t a betrayal, most likely McLaren agreed to that otherwise the non-compete clause which very probably exists would just eat him alive
Hey, if I could help develop the Valkyrie, I’d do it too.
Ayy matt merry Christmas eve
Well I guess thats what happens when you get tired of Cars that look like aerodynamic fish and want something more low profile
