This is the first teaser video of the new McLaren 675LT. Named after the 1995 Longtail F1 GTR racing car, the 675LT will sit above the 650S and below the P1 in the McLaren range.

The 675LT has been designed to be a lighter, more powerful and track-focused version of the 650S, and will therefore be a new rival for the Ferrari 458 Speciale and Porsche 991 GT3.

As you’ve probably guessed, the supercar’s power has been hiked up to 675hp (666bhp). Revisions made to the new model over the standard 650S include lower and stiffer suspension, larger air intakes to aid cooling and bigger wheels, tyres and ceramic brakes for ultimate track performance.

Prices and availability remain unknown at this point, but potential buyers shouldn’t expect any change from £200,000.
