Meet Car Throttle At This Weekend's Autosport International Show, Plus Cool Things To Do There
This weekend on 16th and 17th January, TeamCT will be at the Autosport International show at Birmingham’s NEC. If you’ve never been before, then trust me when I say that you’ll love the place. There’s loads to do, incredible stuff to see and great people to meet! Here’s a quick run through of this year’s highlights:
When you arrive, make sure you head straight to Hall 19 (stand 19160) where you’ll see live Project MX-5 turbo build filming with me and the guys at Skuzzle Motorsport (the blokes who saved Phil from the scrap yard!). That’s right, my little MX-5 is finally getting boost, and we’ll be hard at work drilling, cutting, and generally making a mess. We’ll be filming the whole process from start to finish, so feel free to gather around and heckle.
On the CT stand in Hall 19 you’ll also see a familiar Porsche Cayman GT4 belonging to a certain Mr. Shmee150. He’ll be with us on Saturday afternoon and is looking forward to meeting all of his fans.
Drool over the world's hottest cars
Of course, the other main attraction of the show will be seeing the world’s hottest supercars and race cars. On display this weekend will be the Jaaaaagwire C-X75 (the Spectre villain’s vehicle of choice), plus the Ford GT Le Mans effort, F1 cars (and Felipe Massa), BTCC cars and drivers, plus the usual crop of supercars and hypercars that we already lose sleep over. You’ll also get to see an incredible line-up of rally cars from past and present.
If you’re into trucks, race cars, autograss specials and drifting (that’s everyone here), then get yourself down to the Live Action Arena. It’s the UK’s largest indoor racetrack where you’ll see stunts, celebrities and insane driving demonstrations. Good guy biker and TV presenter Guy Martin will also be in the arena as part of a motorcycle demo.
Go Karting!
A show like this wouldn’t be complete without a go-karting track, and like every year at Autosport International, you can let loose against your friends. There’s also a Karting Area at the show where you can chat to teams, check out the karts and parts and find out how to get involved.
