Merc Says Sayonara To The SLS With 'Final Edition'
Carbonfibre-clad SLS marks the end of the supercar's life
This is the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition, a limited run to mark the impending death of the supercar.
The car, which will make its debut at the LA Motor Show at the end of the month, retains the same 6.2-litre V8 engine from the standard GT, producing 583bhp. Aesthetic differences include a new bonnet, carbonfibre trim and black alloy wheels.
There will be 350 examples of the Final Edition sold, before the SLS is replaced in 2015 by the SLC. The incoming model is expected to smaller and cheaper, taking the fight directly to the Porsche 911.
If you want this special SLS in your garage, expect it to cost more than the standard car's £165,000 price tag.
