Is This The Most Heroic Imminent Crash Save You've Seen?

He got a penalty for it, but it was a pretty awesome piece of driving from this young star...

Racing drivers possess skills us normal people can't even begin to understand. Then, there is this young driver whose skills we can't even begin to imagine...

Anglo-Italian racer Dino Zamparelli - who currently races in F1 feeder series GP3 - was racing in a Formula 2 round at the immense Spa-Francorchamps circuit in soaking conditions. Horrendous visibility bunches up the pack ahead, which catches out Zamparelli. Not phased, the youngster takes to the grass in avoidance and saves himself from what looks like an imminent crash.

Despite the heroics, he was given a grid penalty for the next race of the season for overtaking under safety car conditions. Still, this is certainly one of the best saves we've ever seen. If you can find a better example, be sure to give us a link in the comments section.
