This Is The Most Positive Reaction To Catastrophic Wheel Failure You'll Ever See
After suffering wheel failure during a track day, this Honda S2000 driver reacted enthusiastically to seeing the remains of the rim rolling off in the distance at speed
In the comments section of this YouTube video, the driver mentioned that the manufacturer of the offending wheels - Forgestar - has since been in touch to offer a full refund and buy him a replacement balljoint. The company has also said it’ll analyse the surviving wheels.
The moral of this story? If you’re doing regular track days, it’s worth keeping a close eye on your rims…

That’s not the way to weight reduction bro.
His reaction is priceless…
Am I the only one who does not understand what is so “awesome” about that?
It’s common thing, that after adrenaline rush people act cheerful. This might be the case
That wheel was late to the sequel of the movie “Rubber.”
Forgestars follow up is pretty cool, however he needs to replace a lot more than just a ball joint. Where’s his bumper!?
If you have the budget, its probably safe to buy forged wheels instead of cast alloys.
It’s good to hear the manufacturer got in touch and wanted to assess the remaining wheels.
People Just have to remember that cosmetic aftermarket wheels designed for street use on passenger cars are not necessarily up to the Motorsport standard to fatigue. Thus meaning if you intend on tracking your car, buy some proper track wheels and tyres to save yourself from these situations.
They see me rolling, they crashing
I wish I was that positive when I messed up my truck, hahaha
