Mother Jailed After Drunkenly Launching Nissan Over Roundabout With Toddler Onboard
While this footage may look like something from GTA V, it is indeed real. It shows 32-year-old Tania Chikwature blasting past a lorry in her Nissan Qashqai near Peterborough last December, before ploughing straight into roundabout. She hit it with such force that her car was launched 14 foot in the air.
She was three times over the drink drive limit at the time, and had her 20-month-old son in the back. Oh, and a bottle of vodka was milling around the cabin too.
Naturally, the authorities took a dim view, and yesterday Chikwature was jailed for 26 weeks after admitting she was drunk behind the wheel. The silver lining is that her young son was unhurt, while Chikwature herself suffered only minor injuries.
Growing up on a diet of World Rally Championship highlights and lengthy Gran Turismo 2 sessions, a life in cars was as good as inevitable for Matt.

26 WEEKS!? That’s NOTHING!! Hope she also got a permanent driving ban for that!! Absolutely ridiculous!! I can see at minimum 3 offences here:
1: Driving whilst under the influence of alcohol
2: Driving without due care and attention
3: Speeding
While these alone would probably only just about be enough for a temporary revocation of her license, as a judge I’d be looking into having her license permanently revoked for her stupidity because she not only endangered her life, but her child’s and other road users as well!! She’s lucky not to have been mangled in that one!! And who’s to say she won’t do it again!? If you’re dumb enough to drive while intoxicated you’re dumb enough to repeat offend in my books!!
