'Murica Monday: Twin V8 Rat Rod Has A Severe Smoking Problem
Sire Custom Performance's Priapsim has two V8s in a lightweight, exposed spaceframe chassis
We don't usually get particularly excited by rat rods, but this one, we like the look of. Built in 2009 by LA-based Sire Custom Performance, the Priapsim has an exposed tubular space frame chassis, and is powered by two small block Chevy V8s.
It's a brilliant mishmash of parts; the suspension is custom-built, those 20-inch wheels are from a BMW X5 and the steering wheel is from an off-road truck.
Sire owner Yannick said he wanted to combine the look of IndyCar with a rat rod theme, and we can sort of see what he was getting at. Either way, it's one brutal machine as you'll see in the videos below.
