A 'New' And Totally Original Honda NSX Has Surfaced And We Want It Badly

You're looking at an as-new 1991 NSX with a manual gearbox and fewer than 1800 miles on the clock. The office has gone into meltdown!

Pinch us: we think we might be dreaming. A 100 per cent original, unmolested 1991 Honda NSX has surfaced on Auto Trader, in as-new condition with just 1780 miles covered. Commence heavy breathing.

Sourced from a private collection in Japan, the sellers Seymour Pope say it must be the best NSX for sale anywhere in the world. They grade it ‘5 A’ under their own system, citing that as their “highest possible condition grade for a vehicle.”

The right-hooker does look brand spanking new. Just check out the pictures of the engine and spare tyre bays. The wheels are showing some light signs of age in the finish, but this is as close to immaculate as you’re ever likely to find an NSX.

Any inspection is welcome, say the sellers, but it’s going to be put through a full top-to-bottom process by Honda before it goes to its new owner, so calling the AA out to have a nosy probably isn’t necessary.

It’s the early non-power-steering model, which some enthusiasts favour over the later power-steering-equipped cars. Of far more interest is the fact that it’s a manual, which will let you pretend you’re Senna every time you drive it.

Speaking of Senna, the Brazilian pedal-wizard’s own NSX went up for auction three years ago with an estimate of £75,000, but it failed to sell. The £99,940 tag attached to this one is therefore beyond top money, but then again it’s beyond prime condition. We can’t help but think it’s a steal.

The first ones weren’t that great and don’t hold up very well at all now.

I know this because I’ve been watching Best Motoring.

Any other crazy insightful info you would like to share Ian? It appears you are well connected to a great source of information.
That said, please send the link of the nonsense you just qouted so I can understand “not very good” and “don’t hold up very well”.
