The New BMW Z4 Works Weirdly Well With A Suzuki Face
BMW’s new Z4 has received its fair share of flak for the way it looks. Perhaps it has too many lines, maybe those kidney grilles are a little in-yer-face, and quite a few people have argued it looks rather like a Fiat 124 Spider from the front.
Hungarian renderer X-Tomi Design, however, had a much more niche thought: how might it look with the face of a Suzuki Swift Sport?
One undoubtedly hefty Photoshop session later, and we have our answer. It works weirdly well, doesn’t it? Almost as though BMW’s joint sports car venture was with Suzuki, not Toyota. And no, it hasn’t escaped us that the face transplant might make the car look even more like a Fiat/Abarth 124…
It’s not X-Tomi’s only render effort with the Z4 - last week we were checking out a particularly fine-looking coupe version. More recently, he made a Z3 coupe-style ‘bread van’ shooting brake (see above).
Neither is likely to exist outside of the virtual world, however - the closest thing you’ll be able to buy to a tin-top current-generation Z4 will be the jointly-developed A90 Toyota Supra, which should be landing early next year.

A good look for the nonexistent new cappuccino…
BMW should’ve partnered with Suzuki instead of Toyota
Anybody else seeing a whole lot of Fiat 124?
suzuki pls make this
That would be a cool project. To retrofit a swift bumper on it.
The Z4 works weirdly well even without a face
Suzuki badge… meh
Fiat badge… YEAH
Bonus 124 on the back.
Its a Jaag
The Suzuki face looks WAY better than the BMW one……….
That tells many things about BMW’s new design language IMHO.
Still looks like an abarth 124 spider
