The New Car Throttle Garage Has Landed: Upload Your Ride Now!

Three weeks ago we unveiled a brand new look for Car Throttle, which included user accounts, pretty profile pages, a rebuilt Memes browser, a custom comments engine, topics, and of course, the Garage.

Over the last 21 days we’ve been listening to your feedback and writing a mega to-do list. Over the next few months we’ll be releasing regular updates to the product so you can spend even more of your valuable time on our interweb pages.

One of the most pressing things you wanted to see was an improved interface for the Garage, where over 2900 of you have uploaded your finest wheels.

So today we’re proud to announce its formal rebirth. And with it, a cinematic trailer starring resident CT producer Ethan Smale, whom you may recognise from our popular 2 Guys 1 Car series on YouTube.

So, what exactly is new?

First, we took another look at the Garage landing page and designed beautiful tiles which show each car’s overall score and the number of comments (so you can get stuck into discussion threads). Next, on each car’s page, we’ve made it even easier for you to vote Hot or Not and to scroll through the Garage without having to reload the page. Ooh, magic!

Most importantly, we’ve given you the ability to add multiple images per car. If you’ve already uploaded your ride, simply hit “Edit” in your Account Settings area and you’ll be able to add more images to existing rides.

What’s next?

Our product team (shout out to George and James) push bug fixes and improvements everyday to the live site, so the only way you’ll find out about new features (and to get your car news fix) is to visit daily!
