The New Manual Porsche 911 GT3 Has Been Leaked
When it comes to leaks, we’ve seen all sorts of ‘delivery methods’. There’s been hidden cameras at private events, pinched press images and even pictures of die cast models, but this is a new one on us. It’s an early look at what is almost certainly the incoming Porsche 911 GT3 facelift, thanks to some images of an augmented reality 3D model sent in to Autoblog.nl.
We’re fairly certain it’s the real deal: take a look at the comparison pic above (the pre-facelift is to the left) and you’ll see some subtle differences to the vents in the front bumper.
The rear has been tweaked too, with the bumper featuring a slightly revised diffuser element, and as further ‘proof’, the alterations match an updated GT3 test mule that’s been spied out in the wild.
We can take or leave the exterior tweaks, but the new GT3 has something new that interests us very much: the option of a manual gearbox…
Expect the 911 GT3 to be officially revealed later this year, before going on sale in 2017.
