New Model S P100D Software Optimisation Will Enable A 2.4-Second 0-60mph Time

Elon Musk has revealed that software optimisation for the Model S P100D next month will enable it to hit 60mph in a scarcely believable 2.4 seconds!
New Model S P100D Software Optimisation Will Enable A 2.4-Second 0-60mph Time

Next to the Model S P100D’s new 2.4-second 0-60mph time, it’ll also demolish the quarter-mile run in only 10.6 seconds.

For context, the new update makes the Model S as fast to 60mph as a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse and 0.1 seconds faster than a Koenigsegg One:1. That’s what you call progress, I guess…

I feel like it would be really easy to get a ticket in a Tesla. 0-60 times are getting faster, so one morning it could take 3.0s and the next take 2.4s, but if you forget that, then 3.0s later you’re going 75 and trying to convince a cop that the car updated itself and you didn’t know how fast it was going.

i don’t think that every morning you are in ludicrous mode flooring it… the battery would wear out just as fast as you accelerate… but if you got a tesla and you keep it in ludicrous mode, and every morning you test the consistency of the 0-60 time… well then i’m freakin’ jealous!!! :D

Hopefully the update will also increase the driving range…

300 miles more than enough. Also, you can’t really increase range through software.

Am i an inherently bad person for not liking Tesla or any other >60% E cars? theyre quicker than the fastest supercars, nearly as luxurious as a cheap rolls or any new german thing, and as quiet as a mouse, and alot of people like the looks! maybe its because im too loyal to Petrol and transmissions and just dont like luxury interiors or smooth looks.
