New Teaser Shots Show The Jaguar XF Sportbrake Is Going To Be A Pretty Thing
Jaguar has released a few more teaser images of its new XF Sportbrake as part of a tennis-related challenge tied-in to its sponsorship of this year’s Wimbledon.
The striking new version of the large estate car looks like it might have the measure of the German rivals when it comes to style. In whatever trim spec the prototype matches up to, the proportions look awesome.
After the currently off-form world number one Andy Murray questioned Susan MacCormick on Twitter as to whether the remote Bunabhainneadar tennis court actually existed at all, former British number one Tim Henman accepted Jaguar’s challenge to go and find it – along with Susan herself.
Driving a prototype camouflaged with a tennis ball wrap to the Scottish island of North Harris, the pair did find the ‘idyllic’ court with the hefty name, and Henman even made time to have a few games with 13-year-old aspiring champion, Logan Urquhart, from Nairn.
Judging by the pictures the new car will be more practical than the old one, with a larger boot rumoured to sit at 600 litres or so. The engines will be the same as those in the saloons, so fairly ordinary 161bhp and 177bhp diesels will be joined by a 296bhp four-cylinder, a 375bhp V6 and an SVR version, which will be a bit lovely.
Comments
you know its not a good sign when they cover the whole car with images of lemons
the road to that tennis court is one of my favourites, i’m surprised they didn’t get any photos at Amhuinnsuidhe castle which is only a couple of miles down the road.
That camo better be a factory option
