A gadget enthusiast with a drone chanced upon TG newbie Rory Reid filming with both new and classic Mustangs, while Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc were spotted outside the BBC in a pair of convertible Reliant Robins

Top Gear recently announced its six-strong presenter lineup, and since then the big question has been how exactly they’d all fit into one show. Well, filming has just begun, and it gives us a good idea of what to expect when the BBC show returns.

First up is the amateur footage captured from a drone, above. A passerby stumbled upon Rory Reid shooting a brand new yellow Mustang, as well as what appears to be a 1967 Mustang in white. The shoot is taking place in Scotland, crossing the beautifully picturesque Kylesku Bridge.

With Reid up north, Matt LeBlanc and Chris Evans have been filmed leaving BBC Broadcasting House in London in a pair of modified Reliant Robins. The cars have been ghetto-converted into convertibles, and sprayed in the pair’s home colours, namely a Union Flag for Evans, and a Star Spangled Banner for LeBlanc.

If we look at this footage as representative of what to expect from the show, it would appear Evans and LeBlanc will be shooting the kind of silly films TG became well known for with Clarkson, Hammond and May, while the rest will film smaller individual pieces to be thrown into the mix. It’ll be interesting to see if any of the other presenters are called upon to join the main two, either in pre-recorded films or in the studio. Watching this play out will be very interesting indeed.

Wow.. This might be interesting. The only presenters I’m looking forward to is Rory, Chris and Sabine.
