The New Vauxhall Corsa Is Coming With Its Electric Powertrain And Fancy Lights
The Vauxhall Corsa is not a bad car. The problem is, it’s not a brilliant one either. And being just ‘fine’ in today’s car market doesn’t quite cut it.
Against all odds, the Corsa E managed to be the third best-selling car in the UK last year, but it still sold only just over half the volume of the new and fancy Ford Fiesta, and sales were down Europe-wide compared to 2017. Thankfully, for the sixth-generation ‘Corsa F’ - teased in this new image - there’s going to be a big revamp.
Since PSA now owns Opel, the new Corsa will be based on the same platform due to be used by the next Peugeot 208. And for the first time ever, there’ll be an all-electric version, giving the car a trump card against its arch Ford rival.
Another thing you won’t find on a Fiesta but will on the sixth-gen Corsa is adaptive beam LED headlights. Opel claims their arrival will be a segment first.
We can expect to see the car in full later in the year.

And this gonna be the next Peugeot 208.
Pretty exciting news, looking forward to seeing it
I won’t be seeing it cuz America
I honestly think the current Corsa is quite bad when its compared against its rivals. Hopefully the next one turns out to be a good car that appeals to people other than chavs.
but there is a heavily detuned 1.4 turbo option, that also happens to be very cheap.

The good thing is the chavs can’t turn it into a fart can
Don’t under estimate them :’)
I don’t think Opel is going to be the only one to release an all-electric version of their subcompact car. Ford has already proven they can do full electric vehicles with the Focus Electric, and so has Volkswagen with the eGolf. I suppose there won’t be long after Opel launches the all-electric Corsa until Ford and Volkswagen both launch full electric versions of the Fiesta and Polo.
Volkswagen will launch I.D. Neo in 2019 which is basically an electric polo with refined looks.
It will be a rebadged peaugeot 208
WARNING: THAT IS NOT HOW REBADGING WORKS
