Next-Generation McLaren Project P14 Spotted Testing In The UK
McLaren’s next step in its Super Series has been spotted again in routine testing, and the pictures give us some more clues about what’s under the camouflage.
You’d think the disguise would be more sophisticated than opaque extra panels fixed over the top of the bodywork, but while it looks a bit Batman it does the best job of concealing the shape as much as possible.
We love the twin high-level circular exhausts and the massively sculpted rear haunches, which make the car look like aerodynamics are going to play a bigger part than ever in the car’s design. Our understanding so far is that the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 will remain, but McLaren insiders tell us another engine is in development – although probably not for this car.
What are you hoping to see from the new car? Would more power get you excited, or is it less weight? Or would you change something else?

So the 650 hasn’t even been out for ~2 years, they’re gonna replace it with a car that looks exactly the same as the 570 and will only be a few tenths faster than said 570 and will look the same as every single other McLaren in the line up…
