This Nissan GT-R Crashed At 218mph And Somehow Didn't Roll
At a 1/2 mile drag racing event held on a runway in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, this 2000bhp GT-R lost control at well over 200mph, spinning out and only just avoiding a roll
Thanks to a roll being very narrowly avoided, the damage to this GT-R was surprisingly minor considering the speeds involved. According to the video uploader, the driver had this to say about the crash: “Car has a roll cage and a fire suppression system. No chute and nothing would have helped. Car snapped a [sic] after market camber arm, suspension got lose and sent car into spin.”
However, we can’t help but wonder if the car could have done with a more substantial roll cage. Had it flipped over like in the 200mph crash of the 1800bhp Camaro we were looking at last week, the driver might not have come away quite so cleanly.

The sound when it almost flipped was terrifying.
GT-R didn’t roll and it’s lowered, Camaro wasn’t?
