This Nissan Micra Cup Race Very Quickly Descended Into Carnage
Last weekend's Micra Cup race at Calabogie in Canada had a chaotic start, with much of the field caught up in a massive pile-up
Fortunately, no serious injuries were caused by this massive pile-up. The fact that these pint-sized racers - built by Nissan itself - come with FIA-approved racing seats, five-point harnesses and full roll cages was no doubt a big factor in keeping all the competitors safe.
The accident was caused by an incident at the front of the pack, which caused a chain reaction leading to the massive smash you see here.

I feel bad for laughing at that now.
Am I the only person who didn’t know that Nissan Micra Cup was a thing??
I own 3 and I didn’t even know.
That make us 2 then.
It’s a Canada only series but I’ve heard Nissan are thinking about bringing them to other parts of the world. 20 grand for a spec racer is not too bad tbh.
From normal to NASCAR in 32 seconds
About the same as the Micra’s 0-60..

Haha he bought two of those so must have liked them. He bought a 300C SRT8 after that so at least things improved a bit
Love the first bump in the rear, absolutely no f*cks given. Looks like the normal procedure over there.
You know what that driver was thinking…
