For No Apparent Reason, Turkmenistan Will No Longer Import Black Cars
Turkmenistan's customs officials have reportedly blocked the importation of black cars, with no official explanation

Live in Turkmenistan? Want to buy a brand new car? We have some bad news. In a frankly bizarre decision, the Central Asian country’s customs officials are no longer allowing the importation of black cars, without giving a proper reason. Apparently, though, importers are now encouraged to buy white instead, because it’s a ‘lucky colour’. All of this might have something to do with the fact that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov recently switched to a fleet of white limousines.
The ban comes as part of a new set of rules, which also blocks the import of supercars, coupes, cars with tinted windows and with personalised number plates.
