No, Apple Hasn't Just Confirmed The Autonomous iCar
The Internet has gone crazy with claims that Apple is definitely building a completely automated car, nicknamed the iCar, to rival the hideous little Google monstrosity. But that’s not actually true at all.
The company has written a letter to the car enthusiast’s good friends at the American National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, explaining its interest in the technology surrounding automated cars.
It said: “The company is investing heavily in the study of machine learning and automation, and is excited about the potential of automated systems in many areas, including transportation.
“Executed properly under NHTSA’s guidance, automated vehicles have the potential to greatly enhance the human experience – to prevent millions of car crashes and thousands of fatalities each year and to give mobility to those without.”
Steve Kenner, Apple’s director of product integrity and the man who wrote the letter, stopped short of any concrete statement confirming the existence of an Apple car. That’s significant, despite the fact that the brand is clearly working on the necessary technologies.
Some media outlets are claiming that Apple has shifted its focus away from building a complete car, and towards simply providing autonomous driving systems that other manufacturers can buy off the shelf.
Bloomberg claims that, after hiring the former head of Blackberry’s automotive software division, Apple is looking to partner with car makers without abandoning its attempt to build a car of its own.
But whichever way you slice it, no, Apple hasn’t confirmed an automated car. Yet.

No, not at all. Your articles always have major flaws. This one is by far the worst. You are claiming that Apple will not build entire cars and instead just make just components. The reason you think this is because they’re so good at making everything in house. In what world does that make any sense? And you say that they can’t handle competing with the likes of the major companies while 7listing Tesla as one of those major companies. Tesla literally did just that. Elon Musk created PayPal and then managed to create a car company. So in summary, I agree that Apple will not make full cars, however your reasons are terrible. Many articles of yours are written the same way. You have a good point to make but then support it poor arguments.

Watch dogs 2 called it!
I think that is a twizy XD
Dat Supra
So much yes ;)
I haven’t read the post yet, but I too noticed the Toyota Supra. Whenever I’m supposed to read something, or listen to someone, I’m either like ‘’Oh, a Supra!’’ or imitating turbo sounds.
Being a petrolhead is a disease ;)
Stutututu!
Dammit I was gonna do that lol XD
That A70 Supra behind the Google Car!
Am I the only person not to want Apple/Google/etc make a car?..
They would make it all boring, electric, autonomous, clever and fashionable, and potentially harm manufacturers who make proper cars
You’re not the only one.
You are definitely not the only one
I would hate Apple so much if they made an Apple-branded car. Like their phones, the cars would be a fashion item, and that’s just not what a car is supposed to be.
I can apsolutly agree with that they should focus on building proper batteries for their phones
So there’s no “ACESS DENIED” when you enter the wrong password
I thought the title was being sarcastic.
If apple made a car would it have windows?
