Now's Your Chance To Buy Top Gear's Reasonably Priced Car
It’s been driven by the likes of Hugh Jackman, Gillian Anderson, Will Smith and James Blunt, has covered 2908 very harsh miles, and could be yours to own. Yep, it’s the actual Vauxhall Astra used by Top Gear as its final ‘Reasonably Priced Car’, and it’s up for auction on eBay.
It started out life as a ‘Tech Line’ Astra with a 115bhp, 1.6-litre petrol engine, but was upgraded with a pair of front Corbeau Sprint race seats, five-point harnesses and a full roll cage before going into service as the Stig’s daily driver. The only issue with that is the airbags have all been disabled to accommodate the cage, so according to the auction page the car is “not type-approved and should not be driven on the road.”
Fancy buying this unique and rather large piece of Top Gear memorabilia? The auction is open until 27 December 2015, and at the time of writing it’s sat at £8100 with 11 bids. All proceeds go to BEN, a charity for current and former auto industry workers.

Car was driven by grandma, only to church on Sundays. Low milleage. Very Safety.
Craiglist be like
Always warmed up before a spirited drive
Good quote from ebay ad: “…BBC Top Gear was one of the most popular TV shows in the world.” Correct - was :)
Whoever gets this should start saving for a complete left side suspension.
If this was a craiglist car,it would sound something like… Almost New Vauxhal Astra, like new, barely used, low mileage. Been kept in mint condition, spent most of its life in a garage.
What car do you think they would have used next?
We all know about that M3… The reason, i wouldnt even take it for free
Yes i will buy this resonably abused car
it would be super difficult to explain to non car guys why this car is so special.
