Now's Your Chance To Own Ayrton Senna's Old Go-Kart
The go-kart raced by legendary three-time F1 world champion Ayrton Senna will soon be going up for auction. We hope you've got very deep pockets!
It may look like an old piece of junk, but this is a pretty special bit of kit. This 1981 DAP Kart was the final one to be raced by the great Ayrton Senna before he made the full-time move up to single-seater racing.
It’s set to go up for auction next month and is expected to fetch between £18,000 and £21,000. The world championship event in Parma, Italy, was Senna’s final outing competing in karts before switching all of his focus to the Formula Ford 1600.
The kart has only been used for two hours since Senna last drove it and was purchased without an engine. However, an idential unit previously used by the late three-time F1 champion has been installed.
The kart goes under the hammer with Bonhams.
