Now's Your Chance To Own Schumacher's Old F1 Car

Schumacher's 1994 Benetton goes up for sale next month. Who's in?

Have a bit of spare cash to splash? Michael Schumacher's title-winning Benetton Ford Cosworth B194 from 1994 is set to go under the hammer by the Bonhams motoring department on December 1st.

The chassis up for sale is the B194-05 which Schumacher drove to victory in San Marino, Monaco, Canada and France. He also finished second in Spain and Britain at the wheel of the car, although he was disqualified from the latter for failing to complete a stop-go penalty.

Here's the official Bonhams blurb:

'Presented in its original 1994 Mild Seven livery, this Benetton-Cosworth Ford B194 is offered in complete running condition following more than two years of painstaking restoration, and is described by its vendor as race-prepared. 'The car is offered with a completely rebuilt Cosworth-Ford Zetec engine, a fresh gearbox and a modernised high-speed paddle-shift gear change system. The package proposed for sale includes a race-ready car with spares and complete pit equipment. It is offered with a post-sale testing opportunity at its current home base, the Ascari Race Resort in Ronda, Spain.'

Maybe if we all put in a fiver, we can head down to the abandoned Valencia Street Circuit and have a hoon. Shotgun!
