This Is Our First Look At The Production Honda Urban EV
While it may primarily be fast, rather expensive cars we’re looking forward to this year, there are some exceptions. And few of 2019’s more accessible debuts have us quite as excited as the production version of Honda’s Urban EV concept.
Affordable, stylish, electrified transport for the masses: what’s not to like? And judging by this new design sketch, the showroom-ready Urban EV - now confirmed for a Geneva Motor Show reveal in March - should stay fairly true to the concept.
Spy shots have revealed that it’ll have five doors rather than three - an understandable change given new car buyer preferences these days. The front end will be a little more rounded too, to make it more pedestrian-friendly should the worst happen.
We’re not sure what it’ll be called yet, but it sounds like the Urban EV name might not be carried over. If you want one, you won’t have to wait long: Honda has stated that it’ll go on sale “later in the year.”
By 2025, the Japanese firm is pledging to have two-thirds of its European sales featuring “electrified technology.”

This thing is what makes me like future cars
The production version honestly looks disgusting compared to the concept
One thing we have to understand is that the strict laws and regulations that exist to protect pedestrian -“unfortunately”- shape and offset both the visual aspect of the cars/prototypes but also our expectations as consumers/buyers.
Therefore we have to be thankful on one hand, but understandingly disappointed on the other.
Having said that, we might just get surprised and very happy with the end result! :)
Still better than a G-wiz
They should have went with the concept design. Why are cars never as cool as the concept?? I would buy one if it looked like the concept, and had a 1-liter turbo petrol engine. Would be epic to tune
This is basically a Honda Golf
