Over the next year I'll be developing my beloved BRZ. The plan is to create a fast road car that is still practical. What would you guys like to see?
Turbocharger or supercharger? Roll cage and/or rear seat delete? Let me know!
Also, make sure to follow the GT86/BRZ/FRS forum to follow the progress. New Eibach springs and custom front and rear adjustable anti-roll bars are being fitted tomorrow!

Throttle-bodies would make a nice change - be interesting to see someone focusing on response and driveability instead of peak-bhp figures.
Roll cage and rear seat delete; the brz’s back seats are trash
Nice!
Edelbrock makes a great and easy to install supercharger. Although im not sure of its compatability with rhd cars.
rear seat delete and a lightweight battery helps a lot!
Advice from a former FR-S owner (I crashed it…)
+Tires- I suggest Conti EXTREMECONTACT DW or DWS (if you need all seasons). Light wheels are good, but good rubber is better. Do both at the same time if you want wheels.
+Tune- get one. If you want an OTS to start, try these guys (they also have good packages): http://www.openflashtablet.com/product-category/automotive/frs-brz-gt86/
+A panel filter is worth about 5bhp, and they are suitably cheap. The stock airbox is pretty good- a CAI isn’t super worth it.
+Don’t bother with deleting the back seats- they aren’t very heavy, and a delete is expensive.
+Exhaust- I only had a tune, filter, 200 cell cat, and axleback and got about 235bhp (whp 199). I suggest going with Nameless Performance- they manufacture the stuff Cosworth uses, but are cheaper because no Cosworth badge. It may be prohibitive to ship trans-oceanic, though.
+Get a master cylinder brace- trust me.
+Suspension- your call. Stock isn’t bad.
+Chassis bracing- I was adding more when I wrote the car off, had a strut tower brace and it was a huge improvement.
+Lightweight pulleys/flywheel. I went with pulleys, because I didn’t need a new clutch yet. It gains/drops revs MUCH faster.
+Brakes- stock rotors are fine, get pads.
+If you go boosted, Vortech makes a nice supercharger that looks OEM. A bottom mounted turbo setup might work for you, if you can’t go the normal route on RHD. Be sure to build the bottom end- check FT86 forums for many examples of blown engines. Throwing a rod would be unfortunate, as the FA20 is very expensive.
+A full cage is dangerous for regular driving without a harness, HANS device, and helmet.
+A lip/diffuser to compliment the spoiler wouldn’t hurt. The car gets a bit floaty over 120 (not why I crashed, and I certainly wouldn’t drive that fast…)
This is just my two cents- stuff I did, and was planning. I tested the improvement by driving my buddy’s stock BRZ back to back with my FRS. Huge difference.

I like list , its leaning me towards shifting my power hunger into turning my car into a street drift car :D
Useful info thanks, So how did you crash it?
Wide body
A youtube build series
well, first off would be the rims and tires after the suspension mods tomorrow, and maybe fitting a new exhaust system, with UEL’s
You should look into the Jackson racing supercharger. It is a centrifugal supercharger that gives about 100 HP more than stock. From what I’ve heard it is very reliable and it even comes with an intercooler to help with the high heat of the FA 20. Similar to a turbo but more low end power and way easier to install. No custom exhaust required.
