Wherever you are in the world, you’ll have likely experienced the terrors of potholes. Not only do they make driving uncomfortable, they also cause damage to cars. Telemetro Reporta, a news programme in Panama, decided that it’d had enough of the terrible state of the roads in Panama City.

The quirky solution it came up with was to place pressure pads into the potholes, which send a tweet at the Panamanian department of public works whenever someone drives over them. Locals have really got behind the idea, and even tweet their frustrations to the account, and it looks like it’s worked. Roads are being patched up, with potholes filled in across the country.
