This Police Chase Ended Before It Even Began

Mere moments after setting off to pursue a driver running a red light, this officer had his Ford Explorer T-boned by aother vehicle and flipped onto its roof

This less than successful police chase happened in Fridley, Minnesota last Friday. Minnesota police department said that the officer in the Explorer and a passenger in the other car were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The red light runner has not yet been caught.

Growing up on a diet of World Rally Championship highlights and lengthy Gran Turismo 2 sessions, a life in cars was as good as inevitable for Matt.

Probably thought he’d be in deep trouble for the wreck. I feel bad for him.

He was DWB-Driving While Black. A few weeks ago a black motorist in Minnesota was killed by police during a traffic stop. And since ramming a police car can be considered assault on an officer it was completely reasonable for him to assume the police would not be happy with him.

He’s a cop! He’s allowed to do something like this if it happens!

I watched a car chase on YouTube once that involved a Camry that looked just like that one. The Camry in the video I watched caught fire at the end. That should happen to all Camrys.

Nuuuuuu my dad’s Camry has been a great car so far. I mean, good MPG and reliable af, isn’t that what you’re looking for in a daily driver? Or what non car guys are generally looking for?
