Porsche's Macan GTS Prototype Has Been Spied Belting Around The Nurburgring

The much anticipated GTS version of the Macan - a focused variant which will sit in between the S and the Turbo - has been spotted undisguised getting a thorough thrashing at the Nuburgring. Whatever you think of Porsche’s new SUV, there’s no denying it appears to perform particularly tidily in this guise.

With the S producing 335bhp from a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 and the Turbo kicking out 394bhp from a larger 3.6-litre unit, we’d expect the GTS to come with around 360-370bhp. That power will come from a fettled version of the 3.0-litre engine found in the S, while the suspension and brakes will be thoroughly reworked for improved handling.
