Product Update: drafts & previews come to the post editor
We’re constantly amazed at the brilliant blogs posted by CTzens to Car Throttle every week.
We’re constantly amazed at the brilliant blogs posted by CTzens to Car Throttle every week.
One of the things we’re proud to work on behind the scenes is creating the tools that enable everyone to create interesting and entertaining content easily. Today, we are announcing a new incremental update to our post editor which will allow you to save your in-progress posts and resume your writing later on.
There’s no limit to how many drafts you can have, and you can pick-up editing the post in any web browser (including your phone!). It’s not supported on the mobile app just yet.
In addition to saving a post for later, you can also tap “preview” to see how it will look and feel. You can even share a preview link with anyone if you need someone to proof-read it.
When you come back later to the post creator screen, you can resume editing a draft by tapping the blue “drafts” button in the toolbar.

this is fantastic, now when im trying to construct a post i dont have to have 15 sticky notes open all across my desktop :) Thanks #TeamCT
Would it be possible to implement something to remind you to finish a post or something?
Cool idea
Am i the only one who’s still waiting for the Activity tab to return?
Yes! Thank you, sir; thank you so much for this wonderful feature! I’m so happy that my ideas are being made action!
Thanks guys this is really needed!! Yesterday I was making a post and twice I hit the wrong button on my phone and lost it all, spend a good 5/10 minutes making the post (my internet is very bad so photos take forever to upload).
Thanks for the new features they will be greatly appreciated :)

Still waiting to be able to post to multiple communities.
This won’t happen. Sorry to disappoint.
Think of communities as forums. All sense of community disappears once you start posting to many places at once. Communities are great homes for relevant, interesting discussion.
We’re working hard to improve how communities work so that it’s easier to have better discussions
Sometimes I make a text block in the editor and it’s a certain amount of characters long. When I later want to edit that text block it cuts off the text and adds … at the end. When I click on update post it adds the … instead of the text I originaly typed.. Can this please be fixed?
Hi, I have not encountered this personally but will look into it for you.
Does it happen with very long pieces of text or just any text? Do you have an example post that you saw the issue happen on? I can open that post up and have a look
This is excellent!
Yay CT listened to us. That’s why we love you CT. Thanks so much for all the work you do.
