Production Honda Civic Type R Pictures Leaked Ahead Of Geneva
Good news for fans of fast Japanese cars, and/or people who are impatient: we’re getting our first look at the new Honda Civic Type R early.
The production version of the tenth-generation Civic-based Type R isn’t supposed to be revealed until Tuesday at the Geneva Motor Show, but a pair of relatively low resolution images have let the cat out of the bag early. And what they show is what we’ve all been expecting: the production model is damn near identical to the prototype that debuted at the Paris Motor Show last year.
Unless there are any further leaks, we’ll have to wait until the first Geneva press day to get the full details. We’re anticipating an evolution of the 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four found in the outgoing Type R packing even more power and driving the front wheels exclusively. Unlike the last few Civic Type Rs, it’ll have fully independent rear suspension.
Roll on next Tuesday…

Massive wing and oddly sized triple exhausts. Is this the FWD F40 we never knew we wanted ?
It may be a wonderful car, but the looks of it… It has some nice things, but as a whole is just awful
However, it is a great stock riced car.
Triple exhaust for triple the vtec!!!

if ford has overboost mode , does this have overVTEC mode ?
I like the front end and the tail lights.
The rear end still screams rice.
Still looks like a Subaru
