According to Polish-speaking commenters from this video’s original appearance on Car Scoops, the paramedic wasn’t actually on duty when he heard on his CB radio about a nearby accident. Knowing how close it was, he raced to the scene.
As his vehicle wasn’t fully marked, getting the traffic to move out of the way would have been difficult, so instead he chose to clatter over the pavement to avoid it all and speed up the journey, eventually arriving before the ambulance did.
