Ram-Raiding Thieves Made Off With This Heavily-Modified £120k Ford Escort Mexico
This V8-powered Mexico was stolen in an audacious ram raid on Tuesday night
On Tuesday night, Ripley-based ‘Trackspeed Racing’ was subjected to an audacious attack from a group of highly organised thieves. After smashing through the glass front of the showroom with a Land Rover Defender, two hooded criminals attached chains to a 1972 Mk1 Ford Escort Mexico (registration DAD 422K) and towed it away.
This isn’t any normal Escort, either. It’s heavily modified, and has a V8 engine conversion. It’s said to be worth £120,000.
