Red Light Runner Narrowly Avoids Pedestrian Before Hitting Car Head-On

Terrifying dashcam footage shot in Taganrog, Russia shows the moment a driver ran a red light, came perilously close to hitting a pedestrian, and ended up ploughing into another car

In one of those videos that’s sure to leave you clenched for some time, a red light running moron is seen very nearly hitting a pedestrian, with their evasive maneuvres putting them on a collision course with another car.

Thankfully, it looks like the occupants of both cars are up out of their vehicles later in the footage, hopefully having escaped serious injury. As for the pedestrian, she doesn’t even look particularly fazed by the incident, casually continuing to cross the road while carnage ensues in the background…

What Red-Light?? In India, pedestrians play dodge ball with cars, and jumping signals is common practice… More the motivation to move out 😂😂😂

To most people, that would be remembered as the “Day I nearly died crossing the road”. But to her, it was “Monday”

Maybe I’m wrong, but I highly doubt that the light was green for the girl.

1, Look at the pedestrian light in the intersection to the right. It barely changed to red, when the girl started crossing the road.
2.Also, I believe that the light (for the car in the video) might have still been yellow, or has just changed to red (in any case, the car could have stopped, no doubt but it’s not like really running a red light, which was red for half a minute or something) which further illustrates my point as the pedestrian light for the girl was probably still red.
3, In Europe (and I guess elsewhere) mostly because of cases like this, there is a rather noticeable, sometimes even annoyingly long delay between a red light for the cars and a green light for the pedestrians.
And honestly, how many times have you just slipped trough yellow lights that might or might not have changed to red at the moment you crossed the intersection? I know it happened to me.
