Rimac’s C_Two hypercar has just been revealed to the world after much fuss, and the numbers are staggering. We should probably start with power, shouldn’t we? The latest car from the Croatian company does - after all - make nearly 1900bhp. 1888bhp, to be precise.

The spectacular output comes courtesy of four motors - one for each wheel. The front two have independent gearboxes, while the rears have two-speed gearboxes with twin carbon clutches.

The unnecessarily awkward ‘0-60mph with a one-foot rolling start’ happens in just 1.85 seconds, but arguably the more impressive stat is the 0-184mph sprint - it’ll do that in just 11.8 seconds. From there, it’ll keep going until 258mph.

The Concept Two has a hefty 120kWh battery pack, allowing for a range of up to 404 miles. Providing you can find a charger powerful enough, you can brim the batteries from 0 to 80 per cent charge in 30 minutes.

At the back you’ll find a constantly adjusting active rear wing, which doubles as an air brake. There’s active aero under the car, too.

Another thing you can’t see is the extremely complex cooling circuit and thermal management system, which Rimac says will allow you to do two hot laps of the Nürburgring with “no thermal degradation.”

The car is built around a carbonfibre monocoque, and Rimac claims no parts were carried over from the Concept One. It has a double wishbone front and rear suspension setup teamed up with adaptive dampers, while the braking is taken care of by vast 390mm carbon ceramic discs with six-piston calipers front and rear.

Production will be limited to 150 units; not many, but substantially more than the Concept One, of which just 10 were made. There’s no word on price yet, but since the One was £1 million, it isn’t going to be cheap…
