Say Hello To Audi's Butch New TT Race Car

We’re already rather excited about the new Renault RS 01 one-make race series which will kick off next year, but there’s now another very pretty one-make series to look out for. Yep, the new Audi TT is going racing in the ‘Audi Sport TT Cup’ which will be a support series for DTM next year.

Under the bonnet of these cars, there’s the same 2.0-litre TFSI engine you’ll find in the road-going TT S, producing 306bhp. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox. A 30bhp boost will briefly be available through a ‘push to pass’ system.

The series will be present at all six of DTM’s races in Germany, and the winner of the championship will receive support to move into Audi’s GT3 sports car programme.
