Say Hello To The New Ford GT ‘67 Heritage Edition
The difficulties of getting hold of a new Ford GT have been well documented. Even with an extended production run demand is far out-stripping supply, and Ford only sells to those who pass its application process.
Now there’s another Ford GT to ogle, and you probably have even less chance of getting one. It’s called the ‘67 Heritage, and it’ll be made in “limited quantities” for the next model year. So in other words, it’s a limited version of an already limited car.
It’s a follow-up to the ‘66 Heritage, commemorating the Ford GT40’s 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans win, where its predecessor celebrated the legendary racing car’s 1966 victory.
Again, it focuses on trim changes rather than mechanical upgrades. The exterior is finished in Race Red, complemented by white stripes, an exposed carbonfibre package and some ruddy great race numbers. 20-inch, one-piece forged wheels fill each arch, with black wheel nuts to contrast the rim’s silver satin finish.
On the inside, you’ll find new leather trim on the carbonfibre seats with red stitching, red seat belt ‘webbing’, anodised grey paddle shifters and various bits of “satin dark stainless” trim.
Finally, there’s an identification plaque, just so everyone knows this isn’t a run-of-the-mill GT. In case they missed the massive race numbers.

You just pay extra for paint and stickers
Looks great but to make it more like the GT40 or basically to improvs the heritage edition they should use a V8
20 years from now these things’ll be worth more than most celebritie’s net worth. Lets all hope they don’t land in the hands of any, though…
Buy the 2006 GT and tune it and don’t look back.
