Say Hello To The Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series And Its 599bhp Fury

Clearly not content with the already bonkers performance of the 911 Turbo S, Porsche has whipped up an even more powerful special edition
Say Hello To The Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series And Its 599bhp Fury

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is one of those cars that’s so forceful when you put your foot down, it’s on the verge of causing physical pain. With 572bhp it’s not exactly crying out for more power, but Porsche has whipped up a pokier version regardless.

It’s called the Exclusive Series, and it’ll be limited to 500 units worldwide. It’s still packing the familiar 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six, but here, it’s been tickled to produce 599bhp. The official 0-62mph remains unchanged, as does the 205mph top speed, but it’ll now do 0-124mph in 9.6 seconds - 0.3sec faster than before.

At £186,916 it’s about £40,000 more than a regular Turbo S, but don’t worry, you’re getting more than a little bump in power for your cash. It’s finished in an exclusive “Golden Yellow Metallic” colour with “carbon weave strips” (although other colours are available), and you’ll find a black painted, centre-locking 20-inch alloy wheel filling each wheel arch.

It’s also been treated to a new rear apron, a carbon ram-air scoop and a new front splitter. Finally, you’ll find ‘Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’ on the wings, to further prove this isn’t your common or garden Turbo S.

The interior sports a pair of 18-way adjustable seats, each covered in two layers of perforated leather, with the inside layer given “two stripes in Golden Yellow, guaranteeing a unique effect”. You’ll find splashes of Golden Yellow all over the cabin, including in the Alcantara headlining and in various bits of stitching.

Porsche Active Suspension Management, the Sport Chrono pack and Dynamic Chassis Control (that includes a rear-wheel steering system) are all fitted as standard, and there’s even an Exclusive Series-themed watch available to buyers of the car. You will have to stump up an extra £8700 for the posh timepiece, though.

The car and watch are both available to order now.

Porsche always understate their performance figures. Even Motor Trend recorded a 2.5 seconds 0 to 60 time on a standard 991.2 Turbo S.
