Some #RealCar highlights so far.
I’m not sure how long this hashtag will actually hang around but it’s been great so far and hopefully it will endure a little longer.
I’m not sure how long this hashtag will actually hang around but it’s been great so far and hopefully it will endure a little longer. I wasn’t actually expecting it to become a thing, but I guess it struck a chord in enough people and the result is quite a few people posting a real cars and in a bunch posting their stories.
These are just a few highlights so far. If this hashtag or the others carry on being a thing I’ll do this again.
RichWVU’s 2009 BMW M5.
Rich tells us about his experience purchasing, maintaining and… autocrossing(!) this wonder of German mechanical engineering here
#RealCar is about all real cars, not just the swish German examples, so JDM_Doge has given us a fun and in depth review of his 2010 Nissan Sentra 2.0 SR.
You can read his full review here
turbobandit tells us the story of his spiritual ownership of a 1.6 litre Astra estate and how he has been keeping it on the road despite the elements attempts to rot the car out from underneath him.
You can see the whole stoyy here
Cango bought a Miata and he’s updating about the journey on his profile so you should follow him on his journey here
The Epic American posted the story of his friend and his vehicles, A CB7 Honda Accord, a slightly ilegal Civic and a 1991 Toyota mini-truck called Brick.
Check that out here
Cesar has a 1979 VW Superbeetle 1600cc convertible. It won’t fist, but will it finger?
Find out here
These are just some of the great posts so far, but there’s plenty more under the hashtag #realcar , #realtuning and #MakeCarThrottleCarsAgain
If you haven’t posted yet under the hashtag then go ahead and do so. It doesn’t matter if you don’t even own a car, you know people with cars. Take some pictures and tell the story.
It doesn’t matter if it’s an under powered beater or a fire spitting tuned supercar, car enthusiasts are interested in cars and their stories.

Absolutely loved the #realcar and #realtuning hashtags! Thanks for promoting and starting them Ian. It was nice reading the stories of each person and their cars.
Turned out well hasn’t it?
A lot more fun. This why I came to CT in the first place - I love the garage thing and seeing people’s actual cars.
I found some more pictures of my ‘65 Impala on my phone. Doing a #realcar tomorrow!
