The crash happened in Geneva on the weekend when the 1980s pin-up supercar was being driven at speed in the wet. According to an update on autoevolution, the 959 is said by people who were at the scene to have hit a barrier, which caused the car to flip over onto its roof.

Porsche fans especially will be very sorry to see such an icon looking in such a tragic state. Only 337 of these precious cars were ever made, after all.
Power comes courtesy of a 2847cc twin-turbocharged flat-six that would give it a top speed of 195mph. As for this particular Porsche, however, it’ll be months until it manages to reach even one tenth of that figure. And hopefully by that time, it’ll be at the hands of an owner who actually gives a damn about this iconic supercar.
