Standard Porsche Panamera Turbo S Too Cheap For You? This Long Wheelbase Version Costs €250k
At £131,152, the Turbo S that tops the Porsche Panamera range is already rather pricey. This new version, though, costs… more than that. By a long way. Weighing in at a substantial €249,877 (£197,000), you need to be rather well-off to afford this ‘Exclusive Edition’ Panamera, and you have to be quick, too: just 100 are being made.
The price isn’t the only thing that’s big. In case you thought your eyes had gone a bit weird when you saw the first image, don’t worry, the Exclusive Edition has a wheelbase that’s been stretched by 150mm compared to the standard version, making the lives of whoever’s in the back much more pleasant, while making the car look jolly long indeed.
As well as the increase in legroom, the lot of the rear-seated passengers is also improved by the presence of Porsche’s ‘Rear Seat Entertainment Plus’ package, which includes individual 10-inch screens and wireless internet access. The seats are all rather nice too, being covered in some exceptionally posh leather made by Italian furniture company Poltrona Frau. The exterior, meanwhile, is hand-painted in a graduated two-tone finish of black with chestnut brown.
Everything underneath is as per the regular Turbo S, which means a 562bhp and 590lb ft 4.8-litre V8 sending power to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Unfortunately, this isn’t of much use to anyone in the UK, as the Exclusive Edition will only be brought to select markets in left-hand drive. It’ll make its public debut at the LA Motor Show.
