Of course, there are a couple of things to remember here before jumping in the comments with your pitch forks: firstly, both cars are driven by different guys, so to view this as an accurate comparison is wrong. But, you can clearly see that the supercharged car (which has a 50-60hp advantage) doesn’t power past on the straights and out of the corners quite as strongly as you might have been expecting. Secondly, both cars are sitting on Nankang NS2R rubber, so differeing grip levels aren’t an issue.

The thing to take away from this? If you can’t afford forced induction, the answer is “weight reduction, bro!”
