Taking The Limiter Off To Let An F1 V8 Engine Rip Is The Only Way To Say Sayonara
F1 teams gave their V8 engines a proper send off after the Brazilian Grand Prix...
Formula 1's 2.4-litre V8 engine era came to a close at last weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix. To say sayonara in style, some teams decided to give them an ear-shredding send off.
In the pit garages after the race, Caterham and Red Bull took the limiters off their V8s and revved the engines to bursting point.
This was the only way for both teams to say goodbye to the Renault V8 ahead of 2014's move to V6 Turbo power units.
